Sevendust “ONE”

“ONE” is the fifteenth studio album by American alternative metal band Sevendust, officially released on May 1, 2026, via Napalm Records. The album was produced by renowned producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette.

Arriving three years after the acclaimed “Truth Killer” (2023), the record serves as another testament to the band’s remarkable consistency and longevity. Throughout more than three decades of their career, Sevendust have maintained their classic lineup without a single permanent change, and “ONE” stands as a celebration of that enduring brotherhood, combining the band’s trademark heaviness with fresh experimental touches.

The album’s title carries a dual meaning. On one level, “ONE” symbolizes the unity and resilience of the band itself. On another, it explores the idea that despite the apparent divisions of the modern world, humanity remains interconnected, sharing common struggles, fears, and triumphs.

Frontman Lajon Witherspoon described the album’s vision:

“We called the album ‘ONE’ because after all these years, all the miles on tour buses, all the highs and lows, we’re still here—as one. Musically, we wanted to bring back the raw, crushing heaviness of our early material while combining it with all the experience and melody we’ve gained over the years. This is Sevendust in its purest form.”

Thanks to the continued involvement of producer Michael Baskette, the album features the band’s signature dense and powerful production. Fans and critics alike have praised the record for the crushing syncopated riffs of John Connolly and Clint Lowery, the explosive drumming of Morgan Rose, and, above all, the soulful yet immensely powerful vocal performance delivered by Lajon Witherspoon.

Musically, “ONE” balances aggressive alternative metal with emotionally charged melodies, showcasing the chemistry and maturity that have defined Sevendust throughout their career. The result is a record that honors the band’s roots while reaffirming their relevance and creative vitality more than thirty years after their formation.
